Japanese make-up

I have lived in japan as an exchange student for a year. When I lived there I have bought quite some cosmetics since I didn’t bring much ( I thought I wasn’t allowed to wear anything since I was in high school) but on my days of I wanted to wear some make up so I bought some things there that I want to share with you and give you my recommendation on what brands you should buy and which one you shouldn’t buy.

I don’t remember any prices since it’s been a while. I tried to look up the prices online but from what I can remember it was most definitely not as expensive as it was online. Most of these brands can be found in any drugstore in Japan but for some you will have to go to a different store. Try to look in department stores you might find them there.
kate concealer and eyeliner

This is definitely one of my favorite brands and each product last for a long period of time. I have used the concealer almost every day and I am still using it now. So definitely check this brand out.
canmake lip serum, eye shadow and bronzer
Canmake
This brand is very cheap. This is noticeable in its quality so you might want to skip this brand. The one product I do recommend from this brand is the lip gloss which is silicone free and makes my lip feel so soft. I usually use it a night before I go to bed to hydrate my lips and I will wake up with soft lips the next morning.

I didn’t buy that many products from this brand and I don’t think this is a bad brand but I am also not really excited for this brand. So it is up to you to check it out and find out for yourself what you think about this brand.

This brand is the same for me as cezanne. So I don’t really have an opinion about it to be honest. Only that their lipsticks reminded me somehow of tampons.
LB blush, highlighter, eyebrow powder and lipstick

This is a brand that you can’t find in a normal drugstore. I found this a loft which is a department store in bigger cities. I didn’t see in in the normal department stores. But this is definitely my favorite brand when it comes to all the brands I have bought. Even its packaging looks more luxurious while in fact it is not that expensive. Try this brand out if you can.

This is all that I have bought in japan that I haven’t completely used yet. Some things I have thrown away already because I either completely used them or they broke. Hope you liked this and that it was useful.
See you next time,
Leonie
