Velvet Raspberry Beret

This is a lipstick from a Dutch brand called Make up studio. You can compare this brand to mac but it is slightly cheaper. The color I am testing this week is a dark red with a hint of purple.

It came out just recently.

Packaging

The lipstick came in a cute small bag with a ribbon. I bought it in the store and they wrapped it liked that. The lipstick comes in a black box with a whole in the bottom so you can see the name of the lipstick. The lipstick itself is in a matt black package with the brand written in gold letters written around it. I think the packaging would look nicer if the letters were on one side and not all the way around.

The color is a dark red with a hint of purple. Perfect for this upcoming season. When you open it for the first time you will see it has a pointy top. One side of the top is flat and the other side slightly rounded. I like the color it gives me a warm feeling. In the shop they told me you can wear it in 2 way. Apply it once and you will have a light purple-pick color and the more you apply the darker it gets.

Application

 

Applying this lipstick is sort of easy, I mean trying to get your lips symmetrical is always hard. With this kind of color you emphasize your lips so any imperfection stands out immediately. But when applying the lipstick it is easy to correct any mistakes.  You have to scrub you lips before using this lipstick because it accentuate any rough part of you lip.  Even with just one layer of lipstick it already looks pretty. But you can layer it. The more you apply the darker it gets. It is fun to play with the layers. I didn't get to the darkest color since I liked the one I had but I am sure you can go darker if you'd like.

Duration

This lipstick will last up to 8 hours. Even eating and drinking is no problem. I had dinner while wearing this lipstick and even hot chocolate but when I went to take of my make-up at night the lipstick was still there. Every time I took a sip from my drink a saw lipstick even while eating I thought it was all over my face but no it was right where it was supposed to be. I am thrilled about the duration.

I like this lipstick . Especially the darker color. I can see myself wearing this more often. The price I paid for this lipstick is €15,50.
