I know real techniques came out with new covers to keep the
brushes in. But when I ordered them I still received the old cover. And to be
honest I like the old cover as well as the new one. The newer one looks nicer but the old one is
fine to.
This set comes with 5 different brushes. I will tell you how
I use them and how I like them.
The first brush is the deluxe crease brush. I normally use
this to apply a transition color all over my eyelids including the crease. For me
this is a bit too big to use in the crease only. I guess my eye are just too
small. I like the compact hairs with this brush it transfers the eyeshadows
nicely onto my lids.
The second one is the liner brush. I use this to place the
darker color in my outer corner. I think it is perfect for that since it is
small and it works precise. That way I won’t make it look like I have a black
eye. The hairs on this brush are a bit too long in my opinion. I wished they
were a bit shorter that way I could work even more precise with it.
The third one is the brow brush. In my opinion the hairs on
this brush are a bit too long to use. It becomes too flexible. Therefor I don’t
really use this one. Maybe in the future I will learn how to love this brush
but for now I will keep on using my other brow brush.
The fourth one is the accent brush. For me it is mainly used
to apply color under my eyes. Since the tip is small it works fine for that. I can
make a small line of shadow under my eyes without making me look tired or like
a clown. This is one of my favorites from the set.
The last one is the base shadow brush. I mostly use this to
apply a shadow all over my lid on top of the transition color. It is soft but
compact. I really like this one. It is not too big either.
Overall I like this set. It was a good addition to my stash.
I know these will come with me everywhere in the upcoming years. If not the
covers will.
See you next time,
Leonie
