Nature republic Aloe vera gel

This product is a hyped product. I wanted to know what the hype was all about. Since the packaging is all in Korean I had to look up what it is actually used for. Now I found out that there are 8 ways of using this product.  I decided to try all the possible ways and find my preference.

The packaging is simple, it is a big container (300ml). that will last me a long time. It has an extra lid inside the container, why I don’t know but I like it so I’m going to keep it in.

The first way to use it is just to normally apply it on your skin after your skin care routine as a moisturizer. I noticed when applying it this way that it cools down the skin. It also makes it a bit stiky after applying.

That brings me to number 2. It can also be used as a base for your make up. It is like a primer. I do notice that my makeup stays on longer with this gel. But in my mind I feel weird using my moisturizer as a primer.

The fifth is like an eye pack. You put the gel on a piece of cotton and place it on your eyes. I noticed that the cooling effect helped my eyes calm relax. It is nice after a stressful day to relax in that way. It is supposed to help reduce swollen eyes. But since my eyes weren’t swollen I do not know if that really works.

The third way is to use it after shaving. I noticed that when ii used it on my legs afterwards. My skin felt moisturized. It did not fell itchy.  I also did not have any redness on my skin. It just felt really calm.

The forth way is using it as a gel for your hair. This I am not enthusiastic about. When I used it as a gel I expected it to make my hair stay in place and would give it a nice smell. The nice smell I got. But my hair did not stay in place at all. After only 5 minutes it was already all over the place.  And no I did not have a difficult hair style that day. I just had a simple braid. The gel did make my hair look a bit unhealthy which was not something I liked. So as a hair gel, I can’t recommend this.

The sixth way is to use it as a nail essence. For me this did not really make any difference. My nails may have looked a bit softer and their wasn’t as much redness as before but to say there was a huge difference is wrong. I did like the fact that the redness was gone but I am not sure it was because of the gel or that I just did not have any redness this week.

The seventh way is as a body lotion. You can use it all over your body. Just like my face it just cools down my skin. It is perfect for in the summer.
The last way of recommended ways for using this is as a pack for relaxing sunburns. Now when I reviewed this product it had been raining for the past 2 weeks. Even when the sun shined, it wasn’t strong enough to cause any sunburn. Now I am a person that gets sunburns from the moment the summer starts. I can image that with the cooling effect I have experienced so far I could work for sunburns. I can already feel the coolness on my burned skin this upcoming summer.

So my preferred ways of using this is just as a normal cream and as an eye pack. I like the relaxation it gives me.  As for the other ways they are not bad I just think that personally I would use different products for those purposes, cause in my mind it does not click that you can use 1 product for all these purposes. Although it will be nice for traveling to just have 1 product for everything. I might just bring only this product this summer and see if it can work for me. I do know I will probably buy a new jar of this when I get the chance and just stock up so I won’t run out.

See you next time,

Leonie
