This is one of those products that I heard a lot about. But because it is very expensive to buy this online I decided to wait until my next trip to Japan. In the first store that I went looking for these the black one was already sold out. I was warned for that since these are very popular. In the end in managed to get a black one and a brown one. I am talking about the dolly wink eyeliners.
I will review both at the same time. Since they both have the same formula I noticed that they both work exactly the same.
The points of these eyeliners are very thin. They are perfect for making a thin line near your lashes. Also the point is quit flexible so it is easier to follow the curve of your eye. For once I actually managed to get an small wing without making the line to thick.
The eyeliners are not full coverage. The apply with small imperfections but with a second coat and the thin point it becomes easy to fill in the gaps. I can no do my eyeliner with a small wing within 2 minutes. That is a record for me.
The brown one I mostly use for a natural look. Once I am wearing that one it looks so normal that most people don't even notice it. The black one is a little more noticeable but as long as you do not over do it is kind of looks natural. The eyeliners are not water prove so watch your liner on rainy days.
I must say the the eyeliners mostly stay all day. At the end it looks slightly faded but still there. Only if you touch your eye during the day it will disappear. I do have to saw that when it rained and I wore this it faded yes, but I did not have panda eyes so that was a plus.
I hoped the color would be more like my Kate eyeliner but for the rest I liked everything about these eyeliners. When I go back to Japan I might get myself some new dolly wink eyeliners.
See you next time,
Leonie
