Japanese slimming products

 Japans obsession with being thin is obvious wherever you go. In all kinds of stores you will find products that will enhance your beauty by slimming parts of your body with different techniques. I saw so many different products that I became curious whether it worked or if it is just a marketing trick. I got 2 different products for 2 body parts.

The products look exactly like the pictures on the box. The boxes show exactly what the products are supposed to do to your body. 

 This type of pants can you compare to shapewear, I think. When I wear it, I do look a bit slimmer but the moment you take it of the shape also disappears. This is a bit harder to put on since it is a pants with some part that you have to pull over your butt.  It is really tight. With the clips you can adjust the sizes. I like the way it makes my hips and but look when I am wearing this but I don’t like the looks of the product itself. I mean if you would take your close off, this is not the most charming thing to wear. Also a trip to the bathroom becomes a bit harder with these pants. But I think that if you wear this under a dress to get a better figure for an evening, this is worth wearing.

These sock look nice to wear around the house. Even with the pink color it gives it a bit of a playful feeling. The socks have a couple different features. They separate your toes for refreshment. I actually like this feature. There is an acupressure under the bottom of your feet. This part kind of made me dislike the socks. Every time I wore the socks and tried to walk it would just hurt. It felt uncomfortable and made me want to take them off. Just sitting somewhere is fine but walking is a big no with these socks. Also the pressure does not really works as it is just one big block instead of small pressure points. As for the slimming products on my legs. I noticed no difference. The socks were not that tight and I do not have really fat or slim legs. So I don’t know the size you need for the slimming effect to work. The material of these socks are actually really soft and make me want to wear them on a relaxing day around the house. So with these socks I have a love and hate relationship. I think that if it did not have that weird thing under the bottom of my feet these socks would be perfect for a relaxing day. They even keep my feet warm.

I don’t think these products are made for slimming your body. The pants can be used as shaping wear but the socks need some adjustments. Maybe other products do work but for me these did not work.
